We need your help for Haiti.
Please keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts and prayers. The earthquake and aftershocks have created devastation beyond any imagination. The loss of life and injury is unbelievable, thousands remain unaccounted for, and hundreds of thousands need medical care, water and food.  The recovery effort will be massive and take a great deal of time.
 
Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. It is a country of 9 million people that geographically is slightly smaller that the state of Maryland. If you wish to make a contribution of money or items we are accepting items for our Project Help for Haiti. click here We do not have any packaging event scheduled other than two sessions which are already at capacity for volunteers and we plan to package all the ingredients we have in the warehouse but will probably run out of ingredients before the sessions are finished.  We are receiving donations and hope to restock our supplies soon and schedule more meal packaging sessions.  Recently, we sent 140,000 Kids Against Hunger meals to Haiti via Convoy of Hope. We also plan to send more food in the next couple of weeks along with supplies. As many of you may know K.A.H helps support a Mission in Haiti named Lifeline Christian Mission.  They have churches, schools, children’s home, clinic, nutrition care program for expecting mothers and new mothers with babies.  They also supply food to other mission groups in the area of Grand Goave, Haiti.  They have suffered a great deal of damage.

Evangel Homeschool PE

Hey you guys! Thought I would let you know that Evangel University is having PE classes for homeschoolers - Wed & Fridays at 11 AM - 12 noon. (usually 11:45). The cost is $10 - and I believe that they adjust the fee for more than 1 kid. You need to e-mail Donovan Nelson at NelsonD@evangel.edu directly for that info.

It is a lot of fun for the kids. They have a good time and us moms get a chance to visit.
Subject: Spring Semester

I trust everyone had a blessed and relaxing Christmas season.  I know I enjoyed my break, spending time with my boys, and digging out of 18 inches of snow in northern Missouri.  We had a great time but it’s back to work!We will begin our spring semester with your children on Wednesday, February 3rd.  My kids will teach your kids every Wednesday and Friday throughout the semester.  I will have a more detailed schedule for you on the 3rd. We loved having your kids last semester and I believe this group will work just as hard for your children as the previous group.  We would love our secondary (5th – 12th grades) numbers to increase.  If you know of others who may be interested but have concern, tell them about our program, its benefits, advantages, etc.  If they have questions or concerns you don’t feel comfortable addressing they can always email me. I look forward to seeing you and your children on the 3rd.  We have some exciting things planned for the kids.
