Are you ready for the IRS?

By Veronica Riggin

When the examination letter came from the IRS, we thought "are you kidding?" They were wanting us to prove our dependants, which were six at the time, and my husband's income. We knew we had our ducks in a row and have had a professional service do our taxes for a number of years. Still not certain as to why we were flagged, but learned later.

After returning home from the appointment with the IRS and a letter stating "all was well", my husband notified me that having so many children and so little income was a red flag that perhaps things were not as they appeared on paper. What a testimony for our Lord to show the IRS that without Him we would not be able to provide for our large family on my husband's income. God is faithful when we are faithful - it's just that simple.
